Founders' Day of Giving 2026

On May 14, 1853, the Sisters of Mercy opened the Academy of Our Lady of Loretto, later named St. Aloysius, laying the foundation for what we now proudly call Mount Aloysius College. Founders’ Day of Giving is a celebration of this rich legacy and the Mercy values that continue to guide us today. This year, we have an ambitious goal: to unite 150 donors in just 24 hours to support scholarships, campus ministry, and other programs and services that empower Mounties to reach new heights.

GIVING INCENTIVES

• 🎟️ First-Time Donor Raffle: Make your first-ever gift to Mount Aloysius on Founders’ Day to be entered into a raffle to win one of two Pittsburgh Pirates ticket packages!
  • The first winner will receive two tickets to the Sunday, June 28 game at 1:35 PM against the Cincinnati Reds.
  • The second winner will receive two tickets (and a parking pass) to the Sunday, August 9 game at 1:35 PM against the New York Mets.

• 📜 1853 Challenge: $185.30: Donate $185.30 on Founders' Day to be entered in a raffle to win 2 tickets to A Night in the Vineyard on October 24, 2026.

• 📜 1853 Challenge: $1,853.00: Be the first to donate $1,853.00 and you will receive 2 tickets for A Night in the Vineyard (on October 24, 2026) and social media recognition.
• ⚾ Employee Giving Challenge: Employees who make a gift will be entered into a raffle to win 4 free tickets to the Altoona Curve (July 9) and the opportunity to throw out the first pitch during Mount Aloysius' Community Night.
