The Richard A. Ford, ’00 Endowed Scholarship for Accounting Challenge

When Richard A. Ford ’00 came to Mount Aloysius College, he was navigating an unexpected career setback after being laid off from a blue-collar job in the local area. What began as a challenge became a turning point—Richard credits his coursework and the support he received from the Mount community, especially the Career Development team, with helping him pivot from factory work to a fulfilling career in the federal government.
Now retired, Richard is giving back to the College that helped him find his path. He recently established the Richard A. Ford, ’00 Endowed Scholarship for Accounting to support future Mounties pursuing careers in accounting.
To further his impact, Richard has created The Richard A. Ford, ’00 Endowed Scholarship for Accounting Challenge. When we reach 100 donors on Giving Tuesday for Scholarships, $10,000 will be unlocked to grow this new endowed scholarship and open doors for students seeking their own fresh start.
